I like your idea about the general progression of the stories through the seasons, slowly working up to the more seriously believed legends. I think you're right about that, although I wasn't able to quite put the pieces together before.

It is going to make it hard for season six to not feel tacked on though, if it happens. (and how do you top the Apocalypse anyway?)
