Sadly, it turned out that I WAS THE VILLAIN ALL ALONG. D:
Bucky fashioned a catapult and freed the other Steves and Buckys from a distance. He couldn't be sure about the state of mind of the other Buckys, and he knew the odds were 10 to 1 that the Steves would pick a fight. :P
So they remotely freed the others and got the hell out of Dodge.
And then I took everyone out of the jars and put everything away. :)
Yes, Steve was really ready to use that lid as an improvised Shield, and that proves Bucky's point that he was ready to fight. :D
