it's a thing that has been living in my head for a while now. I think a second chapter might be about certain things Coën does at different times of year but I don't want it to be too much on the nose :D
the language is a big part of the fun for me... but also, the Griffin Witchers to whom Coën belongs are the ones known for having a code and think of themselves as knights bound by honor. So I wanted to emphasize that. Geralt (ne Superman) is from the School of the Wolf, where they sometimes claim they have a code but don't really. Geralt's internal code is a hodgepodge, though he does try to be as ethical as he can.
So yeah, anyway, there are these blank slate characters in Witcher canon where we just have their name and what school they come from. So yay, here's to (somehow Jewish) Coën!! :)
